I began my life long relationship with music when my mom forced my brother and I into the church choir. We were also dropped off at old Mrs. Miller's house once a week to learn how to play the piano against our wills. For this, I am eternally grateful to my parents who shared their love of music with me. After elementary school, I joined the middle school band and ended up playing euphonium for about six years. I even endured marching band as part of James Madison High School's Pride of Vienna.
CATSCAN is an electronic rock duo from Vienna, Virginia. Two boys, Mason Shelby and Paul Tsiaperas, experiment with unusual instrumentation and minimalist arrangements of mostly pop songs since the year 2000.
I can sing and play the guitar, accordion, euphonium, keyboard, cornet, recorder, trombone, and xylophone.
